Teeth can become damaged from cavities, grinding or trauma. We offer natural looking white fillings and crowns that are strong and long lasting. Advances in resin and porcelain technology allow us to create very natural looking teeth that are very strong without metal. Gold crowns and traditional silver fillings are available as well. Whether your teeth are the wrong shape, crooked, stained, or chipped, Dr. Walters can treat your teeth with minimal methods using the latest techniques and the finest materials. Dr. Walters will present different options for your problems and let you decide based on your wants and budget.
Even with the best care and maintenance, teeth can break, chip, crack or develop a toothache or abscess. Dr. Walters' time in the Army prepared him well for handling all of these and other dental emergencies. Many times these issue can be solved with a simple fix, while others may be more complex. Dr. Walters will go over all your treatment options and get you feeling back to normal as quickly as possible. For teeth that are broken or cracked beyond repair, Dr. Walters can remove them in the office or in certain circumstances refer you quickly to a nearby specialist.
Dental implants are single tooth replacements that stay in your mouth and function like normal teeth. Implants can also be used to help retain dentures for better fit and function. Dr. Walters does not place the implant itself, but will work closely with the lab and surgery specialist to ensure the best outcome possible. Typically a couple months following implant placement and healing, Dr. Walters will fit a crown on the implant.
We love to see kids get excited about their teeth! We typically begin to see kids around age 2. Their first visit will usually be scheduled immediately after mom or dad's cleaning so they can watch first and then get their teeth cleaned and examined too! We do not force children to cooperate and don't want to give them a reason to be afraid of the dentist. If they are not cooperative enough for treatment, we can refer to one of our wonderful pediatric dentists in the area.
Do you wake up with sore jaws, muscles or headaches? Do you keep breaking and cracking teeth and fillings? You may be a grinder or "bruxer." Everybody grinds or clenches their teeth while they sleep, but some people do it so much that it causes harm to their teeth or gums. We make Brux-eze splints which are strong and comfortable and can treat these problems or use it to protect expensive crowns or implants.
